Archetype Performance Solutions is a small, privately held firm specializing in Instructional Systems Design (ISD). I, and the associates I have working with me, have much experience in traditional aspects of ISD. One of the main models we use is the ADDIE model - Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate. Our associates have designed, developed and delivered several types of training programs in multiple industries. We have also provided the front-end analysis for many performance improvement programs and provided evaluation services both during and after implementing programs.

In addition to our Instructional Systems Design services, we host seminars on multiple topics related to ISD. We also provide consulting services to organizations seeking to improve the performance of individuals and groups. Where appropriate, we try to focus on leading-edge technology such as incorporating Web2.0 tools into an overall training program.

Our Mission

We provide the right solutions by partnering with our clients to design, develop, and deliver the right information, to the right people, at the right time, using the right medium and methods. We will use a broad range of technological solutions to accomplish this when it is efficient and cost effective to do so.

The "right information" includes skills, knowledge, and abilities among other things. The "right people" are those people, and only those people, who need to use those skills, knowledge, and abilities. The "right time" is as near as possible to the time when the skills, knowledge, and abilities are needed.

There are a large number of "right medium and methods". Some of the right medium and methods include: instructor-led training, eLearning (in many different formats), job aids, a Learning Management System (LMS), podcasts, blogs, wikis or a combination of any of these. Some of these are known as Web2.0 tools. The right medium also includes a vast array of other Web2.0 tools and technologies.

We are very firm proponents of technology. Nevertheless, we do not use technology just for technology's sake. Rather, we seek to use the best technology for each situation in order to obtain the most cost effective and efficient solution for our clients.
