This, coupled with increasingly short project cycle times, requires individuals to be constantly learning. For organizations to be profitable, they need the individuals working for and with them to be their most productive.
To meet the dual requirements of personal learning and individual productivity, Archetype Performance Solutions provides a broad spectrum of personal learning and productivity solutions. A term often used for these solutions is Personal Learning Environments (PLEs). I have designed and developed several PLEs and taught many others how to do so. I can recommend off-the-shelf personal learning and productivity solutions and help individuals tailor those solutions into their own PLE. Although organizations are comprised of individuals, in order for those organizations to reach their highest levels of profitability, they require highly productive individuals working together in cohesive groups. It is not unusual for individuals to be involved in different groups for each project on which they work. It’s also likely individuals within groups are dispersed across several countries.
Bruce Tuckman’s Forming Storming Norming Performing model is likely to occur even with geographically dispersed groups. However, short project cycle times require groups to form, storm, and norm very quickly so they can then perform at their highest levels of productivity before adjourning.
